about my art

  • I use a reference photo of myself, techniques similar to cross-stitch & needlepoint, & 6 strand thread to create highly saturated, hyper-realistic portraits. 

  • No, but similar!

  • Months!! Before beginning each portrait, I grid the fabric into squares of 100 stitches. My stitching rate is about 1-3 squares per hour, depending on how many different color threads are used within the square.

  • Are those the Amazon pointe shoes you’re wearing?

    Yes. My friends & I have named them the “Amazon Slouch Master 3000’s”, and they’re not rly danceable. I do not endorse them or Amazon.

    What tango shoes are you wearing?

    Mimi Pinzon. I do dance in these and highly recommend.
